Discover Bombay Marrakech

When you think of combining the vibrant spices of India with the rich flavors of Morocco, Bombay Marrakech is a dining experience that captures this unique fusion perfectly. Situated in the heart of Gulize, Morocco, on 7 Rue Ibn Zaidoun, 7 Rue el Alaouiyne, this restaurant is an exciting destination for anyone seeking to enjoy both traditional Moroccan dishes and Indian-inspired cuisine in an eclectic and cozy setting.

The ambiance at Bombay Marrakech is unlike anything you might expect from a typical diner. As soon as you step inside, the decor immediately transports you to a place where the colors and aromas mix in a harmonious celebration of both cultures. The walls are adorned with intricate Moroccan lanterns and Indian tapestries, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special occasion, the atmosphere of this place is perfect for any occasion.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this restaurant is its diverse menu, which beautifully bridges the gap between Moroccan and Indian culinary traditions. Expect to find dishes like the rich, flavorful Moroccan tagines alongside spicy, aromatic Indian curries. The restaurant does a fantastic job of blending spices from both regions to create a truly unique dining experience.

For starters, the Bombay Marrakech restaurant offers an array of small plates perfect for sharing. The samosas, stuffed with spiced potatoes, peas, and a hint of mint, are a fan favorite. These are beautifully paired with the sweet and tangy tamarind chutney that adds an exciting flavor profile. Moroccan-style salads, with their mix of fresh vegetables and herbs, are a great complement to the Indian appetizers, giving diners a fresh contrast to the rich spices of the curries.

If you're in the mood for something heartier, the main course does not disappoint. The Bombay Marrakech menu features both traditional Indian curries, like butter chicken and lamb vindaloo, and Moroccan favorites like lamb tagine with apricots or a slow-cooked chicken couscous. The lamb is tender and bursting with flavor, absorbing the robust spices and slow-cooking techniques that define both culinary traditions. Many guests often rave about the signature dish: a blend of Moroccan spices with Indian influences, offering a new spin on classic tagine.

What makes Bombay Marrakech stand out even more is its commitment to authenticity. The chefs use locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, ensuring that each dish carries an element of freshness and depth. In addition to the delicious food, the service is friendly and attentive, with staff members who are eager to share their knowledge of the menu and recommend dishes based on your preferences.

Another highlight of this establishment is the diverse selection of drinks, which includes a fine assortment of Moroccan teas, fresh juices, and even a few cocktails that reflect the fusion theme of the restaurant. For those looking for a refreshing drink to pair with their meal, the mint tea is a must-try. The sweet, herbal flavors complement the richness of the food perfectly.

The restaurant’s location in the heart of Gulize makes it an ideal stop for tourists and locals alike. Visitors are often drawn to the area for its vibrant culture and proximity to some of Morocco's most notable landmarks. Whether you're a food enthusiast or someone exploring the flavors of Morocco and India, Bombay Marrakech offers an unforgettable culinary journey.

For those interested in reviewing their dining experience, many have praised the restaurant's ability to fuse two distinct culinary worlds without compromising the authenticity of either cuisine. Whether it's the perfectly spiced curries or the aromatic tagines, the quality of the food, along with the inviting atmosphere, has earned Bombay Marrakech a strong reputation among both locals and travelers.

If you're planning to visit, it's always a good idea to make a reservation, especially during peak dining times, as this gem tends to get busy. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the rich and diverse flavors of both India and Morocco, all under one roof.

  • Absolutely loved my experience at Bombay Marrakech! The ambience is warm, elegant, and truly captures the spirit of India. The food was simply outstanding — authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and full of rich taste. Every dish felt freshly prepared and perfectly balanced. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re craving real Indian food in Marrakech, this is the place to go. Highly recommended for anyone who loves genuine Indian cuisine and great vibes!

  • A beautifully decorated restaurant with some lovely pictures in the surroundings. The grill and chilli chicken type dishes served on the sizzling platter were really good but the curries were not that good. I would avoid the chicken kadai, lamb kadai and butter chicken. They were not too good. The restaurant also only accepts cash so make sure you have sufficient cash funds before going there.

  • Good find in Gueliz. Chicken biriyani was enjoyable as was the lamb kebabs. The chicken tandoori tasted like it wasn’t cooked in a tandoor but still good. Service was great. The restaurant has a retro 80’s Indian restaurant vibe so would’ve been nice to hear classic Bollywood music instead of dance/pop Bollywood which was a bit much and didn’t suit the decadent interior. Would recommend and come back.

Ordered some starters, mains and naan / rotis and everything was beautifully cooked and presented. Really authentic taste and the right amount of spice. Really highly recommended. • Brilliant service. Was staying at the Hotel Riu Tikida Garden. I was missing my biryani. Got my food order delivered from these guys. The food was spot on. The price was reasonable. The spice, the serving for each person the way it was packed and delivered with care 10/10. Only negative was no cutlery/napkins were provided when order was delivered. Other than that the best place so far for your spice fix when your in Marrakech. They go out of there way and put the customer first.
